I am presuming that PIE means PEI or Prince Edward Island. Since Gallant is the second most common name on PEI you will need to post some more definite information such as dates of birth etc and which locality in PEI your family came from such as Rustico, Egmont Bay, Bloomfield, Souris, Summerside, Wellington, etc. You could also post your inquiry on the Island Register Guest Book site at:
