I too have roots in the Gallants of PEI but am unable (so far) to find assistance with our branch of the family. My mother's maiden name was Gallant, she was born in Halifax in 1920, Celina Jean Gallant.
Her father was Arthur Edger Gallant and had alot of brothers and sisters. His father was John Peter Gallant. Both father and son hail from PEI. Ring any bells?
