Hi.
I am looking for ancestors that came from Snyatin around 1910. My great grandfather name was Josef Lukawecki and my great grandmother name was Franceska Gutowska. They were both borned in 1880's in Snyatin. They supposedly left for Canada around 1914 after their wedding. Because of the war, they could not get back and they set up in Quebec, Canada.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a Lukawecki ancestor that arrived in the United States during this period. It seems that all the Lukawecki who live in Canada are related to my family. Maybe the Lukawecki in USA are also related to my family. I know that my great grandfather also had a brother by the name of Anthony Lukawecki who could have emigrated to New York.
Any help whould be appreciate.
