Hey Carol!Good to hear from you.I don't have much to help you but maybe it will help you find a connection, or rule out.My Henry was born in 1794 in MA to Aaron and Achsah Gale.He married Elizabeth Merrill and they lived in New York (Yorkshire, Cattaraugus Co) where my gggrandmother Elizabeth Gale was born (I think) and married Robert Travis. She was widowed before she moved to MI with her daughter and son.Their daughter Elizabeth Travis married my ggrandfather Daniel Webster Carr in Shiawassee, MI and then moved to Muskegon, MI in the 1880s.Back to the old Henry Gale:He and his wife both died in Shiawassee, MI within 2 months of each other of consumption in 1868.(Ironically, Daniel and Mary both died within 2 months of each other in 1900, leaving my 12 yo grandfather an orphan).Anyway, I have one son for Henry and Elizabeth, another Henry, and 5 daughters but I haven't substantiated all of them yet.I do not have any info about siblings for Henry. Can't find much about his parents either.I did find a War of 1812 award for Henry (which listed his parents and birthplace). He did a 6 mo. stint. If he had a brother, he may have done so too.(I looked at my copy and there was another Gale listed, Charles, who is buried in MI)Those old records are hard to find so I go back and forth between my colonial ancestors, hunting here and there. There are a couple of Henry Gales, at least one in Rev War who is not my Henry.Hope this helps a little. If you run across anything I might be interested in, shoot it my way.Could be related! Thanks & good luck.PaulaPS Did you ck beta search of familysearch records for MI?They have most of marriages and deaths.
