Anne Elizabeth Gale, the daughter of Thomas Augustus Gale and Lucy nee Leake, was born June 18, 1815. At the time of Anne's birth her parents were living at "Euston Place New Road, Parish of St Pancras, County of Middlesex. Her maternal grandfather was Robert Martin Leake and her father's occupation was given as gentelman. All the children I have found of Thomas Augustus and Lucy Gale were baptised in Non Conformist Churches although the couple were married on November 25, 1802 at St George Hanover Square. The Gale children were: Lucy (1804), Sophia (1807), Robert Leake (1809), Elizabeth (1811), Frances Louisa (1813), Ann Elizabeth (1815), Augustus (1817), Mary (1819), Decima (1822), Charlotte (1823), and Charles Francis 1825. It appears that in 1851 Thomas and Lucy were living at- 10 Queen Square, St George The Martyr, Holborn, Middlesex. They had 3 servants and 2 daughters were living with them- "A" and "C" Gale. Lucy gave her age as 67 and her birthplace appears as Hammersmith, Middlesex. Thomas (born London) stated he was 71 years of age, and gave his occupation as Clerk of Dept in Channery. In 1851 a John and Ann Chandler were living at 29 Wheatsheaf Alley, Fulham. John, born Lambeth, Surrey, was a Milkman aged 44. His wife Ann, born Fulham, was said to be 40 years of age. They had four children George 13, Charles 9, Eliza 3, and Ellen whose age was given as 2. All these children had been born at Fulham. Hope this helps. Mildred.
