Dear Ricardo,

I've an ancestor, Pero Gomes do Galdo, that lived in Madeira (15 century). His family surname is from Galicia. He was a nobleman and was "Juíz dos Orfãos do Funchal". Someone who takes care of the interets of the orphans.
I'm interested in tracing the origins of the Galdo family. It seems they were a noble family with coat of arms.

Miguel de Castro Henriques
