Hello Eva;

I am Charlie Hammett a descendant of William James Henry Martin who I believe married Harriet GAITHER Howard
(?) in LINCOLN COUNTY TENN. (His older brother ST. GEORGE MARTIN also married HARRIET'S SISTER (?)
EMALINE GAITHER daughter of Col. THOMAS GAITHER as recorded in the Reminescent History of the Ozark Region. They moved about 1848 to Crooked Creek twp in that part of CARROLL COUNTY ARKANSAS that was later made into BOONE COUNTY. William later moved into FULTON county AR. where HARRIET apparently died.
He remarried and on the 1860 census is living with his new (and scandalously younger) bride.

ST. GEORGE moved to OREGON, SHANNON and HOWELL COUNTIES in MISSOURI about 1851. Emaline died in IRON CO. Mo. in 1869

Do you have any record of these two daughters of Col. Thomas Gaither of KENTUCKY and later LINCOLN COUNTY TENN. ?
