You probably won't believe this--the Wells-Gaither marriages didn't stop with Maryland. My husband's grandmother, Mary Jane WELLS married Marlin GAITHER in Mississippi Co., AR in either 1914 or 1915. The child they had in 1915 was my husband's father, James Perry GAITHER.
We have yet to find out which branch of the GAITHER family they are from, but this thread here gave me some amusement when I read it. Some things just never change, do they?
