I don't know why I was asking about Benjamin being married to a "Ann". Maybe just hoping there was a connection with my Benjamin. Think we have the wrong Benjamin Gainers. My Benjamin died about 1803 in TN. No birth dates, no parents, no siblings. Only known wife is Rebecca Adams Rayburn married 4 Nov 1802 in Montgomery Co, TN. Her first husband being Thomas Rayburn. His estate settlement was found of Humphrey Co TN but found in Dickson Co TN records.

I don't know anything about him other than a few legal documents. Only known children are Dixon C. Gainer and John Gainer. John Gainer m. Sara Foulks/Folks/Fowlks presumably in MS. Children of this marriage are Jerome, Rebecca, John Benjamin, Emma Amanda, John Thomas, and James William. Interestingly, we think that Dixon married his brother John's widow.

I hope these names might fit in with your Gainer family. Barbara
