Correction to the first posting.

New information found in the censuses of 1880 and 1870 show that John was a farmer in Rockport, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. His wife's name was Ellen. Ellen died in 1881 and John sold his farm and moved near a rail yard. He was 70 at the time. John was born in Kilkenny circa 1810. Found a John and Ellen Gahan living in Mound, Indiana in 1860 with a lot of children on a farm. Trying to establish if this is the same family. Seeking descendants of John and Ellen Gahan, Rockport, Ohio.
