Did a Margaret Gahan marry my Thomas Anderson in NSW in 1857?

I am trying to establish who was the wife of a Thomas Anderson that married a Margaret (someone) in the 1850s in NSW.

NSW BDM records have two candidates - a Margaret McFarlane in 1858 or a Margaret Gahan in 1857.

Does anyone know whether the marriage of Margaret Gahan to Thomas Anderson produced a daughter, Isabel, born in 1869 (possibly in Sydney)?
