Hi John. Probably not going to be of any help to you, but...

We discovered our Canadian founding ancestors in New Ross some time past. Seeing as how you have a hint of possible New Ross connectionsthought maybe I'd tell you of them in the hope we may establish a connection.

Our Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Peter Gahan [Catherine Murphy] [who came to New Ross and married who knows where] fathered eight children who all were baptized at St. Michael's's [now St. Michael's & St. Mary's] in {Old} New Ross: Mary, 25-01-1806; Patrick, 13-02-'07; Thomas, 13-02-'09 dies inchildhood; Richard, 26-03-'10 {Grt, Grt Grandfather, married Mary Fardy also at St. Michael's; Peter, 20-04-'12; Michael, 14-03-'14; John, 12-02-'16; Thomas, 16-04-'19.

Except for Richard, whose four children were all born/baptized at St. Michael's in the 1840s and who all came to Canada [Montreal], we have discovered nothing more of this family. Perhaps........?
