For years I have been trying to find the connection between Calvin M. Gage and other Gage families.
Calvin M. Gage was born in Tn. @1817, lived in Ark. where most of his children were born, moved to Texas and died in 1851, possibly in Caldwell Co.
He married Elizabeth and they had the following children.
1. Sarah Adeline Gage m. Joseph Bishop who died in Civil War and she then married Andrew Jackson Fleming. Sarah was called Sallie and was born in Ark. @ 1837
2. Robert C. Gage
3. Mary "Polly" Gage
4. Rhoda Catherine who married Jeremiah Jeffreys
5. William Gage
6. John Calvin Gage who was born in 1850 and lived in New Mexico most of his adult life.
Since Calvin and Elizabeth named their first son Robert, it would seem that Calvin's father might have been a Robert.
I would really appreciate any assistance that anyone can give me. Sallie had a very long and interesting life. Rhoda lived in Bell Co. during her adult life.
