My great grandfather, John Gagan arrived in the United States from Ireland somewhere around the 1850's. His son, my grandfather Michael John Gagan, was born in the United States in the 1880's and moved to Canada when he was around three. He and his wife, Abby (Adkins, I believe) subsequently had a son, my father Gary Michael John Gagan.

I will try to get more accurate dates.
