Dear Alejandro,
I believe you missunderstood what I said.
Your Grandmother Guadalupe Garcia was never married to Kelly Gafford or at least not legally. Kelly took his first wife Guadalupe, last name unknown to California and left her and his daughter Lydia there.
I am glad to get your information on your family. Here is what I know:

He got the Governor's daughter Pregnate and the Governor ran him out of California and told him if he came back he would kill him. He came back to El Paso, Texas and was a Deputy Sheriff for many years. He lived with his second wife for many years before he married her.
Kelly Married second wife:
Rebecca Duran 1948 in Las Cruces, New Mexico when Arturo insisted he marry his mother. He never devorced his first wife.
Rebecca had a son before she met Kelly} He adopted him.
Arturo born: May 6, 1922

Lydia married: Arthor Burnett in Las Angeles, California -March 1, 1939

It was well known by his children that he had a mistress in Juarez, Mexico and had several children by her. One of his son's by this mistress tried to get Kelly to admit in writing that he was his son so he could go into the Armed Forces in the U.S. but even on his death bed he refused to do this.
Could you send me birth dates and where all your family was born so I can put this into the Gafford Family Tree that I have been working on for years?
