I am researching the Powers family. I believe that the Luman I am researching was born about 1803 in Cayuga County, New York, possibly Springport. Further I suspect that Luman was a brother to my Great x3 Grandfather Alanson Powers. Both Luman and Alanson were married in New York and had children both in New York and in Michigan. It is believed that they arrived in Michigan in the late 1840's or early 1850's. Do you have additional information on the Powers? Did your Hannah who married Luman Powers end up in Michigan? Did she pass away in New York prior to Luman coming with the family to Michigan? I have a few records that indicate children of Luman and Hannah and other records indicating Luman's wife was Jane. Perhaps she was Hannah Jane, sometimes known as Hannah or sometimes known as Jane.
It would be great to find someone who has information on these ancestors.
