My great grandfather, Friedrich Gade came to the U.S. around 1865 from Prussia. Is there a way for me to find out who his parents were? It said in the 1880 census that both of his parents were from Prussia also and his
wifes parents also came from Prussia.
They were married also in Prussia before they moved here. I don't know her maiden name
though. They came through Illinois and settled in Northeastern Kansas. My great grandparents then came out to western Kansas
and settled here. They were German Lutherans. If you can help it will be greatly appreciated if you can point me in the right direction.
