Hello all,
My g-g-g-grandmother was Lydia Gaddy (b abt 1829 in TN-1/4/1906)
She married John Shields in 1846 and had 2 kids: Mary & my g-g- grandfather Samuel Fuller Shields. John either dies or moves on
She then married Stewart Cunningham in 1854
I think she fits into the descendants of Elijah Gaddy and Lydia Fuller somehow because she named her son Samuel Fuller Shields.
I got info on Ancestry that her parents were John and Elizabeth Gaddy but I don't know how true that is.
in the 1850 Lawrence IL census, she and John Shields are living close to
David Gaddy and his kids - one is Lydia who is, i think, 12, and
Elizabeth Gaddy (I believe the wife of John) and her kids
Has anyone run across a Lydia in your research that might be my Lydia???
