Gaddy/Shelton, Anson County, NC, c. 1800

An 1814 Anson County, NC deed lists the heirs of Beverley Shelton as:

Alexander and Elizabeth Beachum
William and Lucy Gaddy
Daniel and Sarah Preslar
Abner and Patsy Boggan

They sold Beverley Shelton's land to Isham Davis.

The 1790 census of Anson shows the household of Beverley Shelton with 1 male (presumably himself) and 6 females. I am guessing this would be Beverley, his wife and 5 daughters.

On another post on this forum, I saw where William Gaddy, born 1767, had married Lucy Shelton.

I am searching for more information on Beverley Shelton as I am descended from Elizabeth Shelton Beachum, my 4th grandmother. I would be most grateful for any help.

Best Regards,

John Field Pankow
Asheville, NC
