I have a Gaddy question and this seems to be a good place to ask it. on July 28, 1787 in Edgecombe County, NC the elder Thomas Gaddy wrote his will naming wife Lucie, son Thomas, daughters: Elizabeth Jolley, Drusliah Cooper, Lucie Brown, Alley Ward, Frances Gaddy, Jerriah Gaddy, and Merrian Gaddy, A son Ithamar was also named. I have been tracing my Ward family and have found where Alley or Eleanor Gaddy married Thomas Ward and had a son John Ward born in 1756. Unfortunately this was a query and I can find
no record. My great great grandfather Thomas Ward who was born in Anson County, NC. lived next to Phillip J. Rushing and Penniah Gaddy Rushing in 1830 Humphreys County, TN. in an area that later became Benton, County. By 1840 I believe that Penniah was dead and, living next to Thomas Ward is another of my ancestors Jonathan J. Rushing, who I believe (not Proved)to be the son of Phillip J. and Penniah. I am looking for information on either of these two. Does your book have any info?
