I'm replying separately, but "off the top," "Come Retribution: the Confederate Secret Service and the Assassination of Lincoln," was published in 1988 by Univ Press of MS and went through two printings, hardback and soft (second had no indication of some changes). Barnes & Noble reprinted hardback with different cover in 1999. This past winter, Johns Hopkins proposed to reprint, but U.P. MS then decided to do another themselves. Should be out by Christmas, soft only, so tell Santa. In re Anson, remember the fact that there were several Thomases. An 1875 document wld have been well after death of "Thomas II," the one in question.
