Hi Margarette, I recieved your message on the Gaddy's. The only Gadddy's that I am familar with is Evangeline (aka Effie,Effa) born approximately 1895 or 1896,her parents were as follows, Jim Gaddy (father)and Vesper Roberts (her mother) The name for her parents was taken from death record's in Haywood county Jim and Vesper did have one more child that I know of, his name was Calvin Gaddy whom was abt. 3 or 4 yrs younger than Effa. Effa and Millard Chapman helped raise im or at least in census records he was in their household during the 1920 Census. Evangeline (Effa) married Millard A. Chapman in Buncombe coutny NC (Asheville NC)we thing by age that they maried when Effa was 16yr's of age, abt. 1911 or 1912. Effa (Evangeline aka Effa died Thanksging day in 1927, the same yr as the birth of my mother (Bertie Loreen Chapman)from complications of my mothers birth and the previous birth if 8 other childern, my mother was her 9th child by the time Effa was 32 yrs of age.<><> Margarette I would like to talk more with you on the Gaddy Famiy, I can be reached on line at rbroome684@aol.com I check e-amil daily and will get back to you as soon as I hear from you.
