thomas gaddy was born in 1720 and married lucy brenner, they had one child thomas gaddy jr in 1740 in virginia. thomas gaddy senior died in service in the revoluntionary war and lucy died two years later. thomas gaddy jr was married three times and had 11 children, on january 22, 1773 he was granted one hundred acres in Anson county. he served with the revolutinary army from march76 to sept78. he served with capt ben colemens Company, 2nd north carolina battalion and the 5th north carolina regiment, darnells company. One of his eleven children was john born in 1790 in no carolina, john married sarah and the rest is already posted.
