I don't know if we're related, but we're a large Gaddy family from El Paso, TX.Our Dad, Burrel, was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. His dad, Shelly, was also from Mississippi and moved to El Paso from Hattiesburg in about 1930.He was a country-style doctor whose specialty was ear/eye/nose/throat.He had 6 children:3 girls (Frances, Rachel, Elise) and 3 boys (James, Burrel, and Charles).James was a pilot killed when shot down over Italy.Burrel and Charles both became dentists, practicing in El Paso.Burrel and wife, Phyllis Tracht, had 9 children (of which I am#4 and oldest girl); Charles and wife Margaret had 6 children, most of whom live in El Paso.Of Dad's siblings, only Charles (youngest sib) and Frances (oldest) are still alive.Dad died Dec. 29, 1999 and is buried in the veterans cemetery at Ft. Bliss Army Base in El Paso.
We would love to know more about the Gaddys.I don't know much about Dad's side.Ironically, I have brothers named Brian and Philip! My sibs are spread from Washington State to Mexico City, and from California to Kansas.
Hope to hear more about the Gaddys!
