Thanks for the work looking up the Gabrion's from Canada. We who have been researching the Gabrion's for decades know of this line but are unable to make a connection between our line and the one you have referenced. The first we have in our family is Albert W. Gabrion born, supposedly, in France on October 14, 1785. The first reference I was able to find to him is:
1820 United States Federal Census
about Gabrian Albert
Name:        Gabrian Albert
Township:        Navy
County:        Orleans
State:        Vermont

In 1825 the town's name was changed by the Vermont legislature from Navy to Charleston.

If you can find a link from him to the other Gabrion's you have mentioned, then you will have found our Rosetta Stone!

Our line has a Charles Sumner Gabrion, my GG Grandfather, who was the grandson of Albert, born Feb 18, 1853, but he is different from the Charles you mention.

Thanks

Bill Theeringer
