Found your postings while browsing, Found a couple of errors you may be unaware of. Your #47 William Gabriel was my gggrandfather.
William Gabriel died 12/8/1908 (not 1912) in Excelsior, Morgan Co., Mo. I have a copy of his obit from the local paper. His second wife's name was Hester Ann Wingate.
He actually had 4 children by his first wife Catherine Friedline b. 5/2/1827, d. after Sep. 1961, Knox Co. IL (a few weeks after child #4 was born):
1. A child, b. abt 1852, who, as family legend has it, perised in a fireplace accident. I have some info from Harriett's family and the 1860 census, that her name may have been Hannah E. Gabriel.
2. Bingham (my ggrandfather) - your info is correct.
3. Mary Ann Gabriel, b. 9/19/1859 - Athens Co. Ohio.; d. 11/20/1921, Excelsior, Morgan Co., MO. Never married. Known as "Aunt Sis" by the children of William and Hester.
4. Harriett Florence, b. 11/30/1861, Knox Co., IL ; d. 1938, Mills Valley, OH. M. (1878) James Vincent Cummings (b. 1857 Vinton Co., OH, d. 1916 Meigs Co. OH). I have a copy of a brief sketch of her life written by her daughter Ethyl (undated). Harriet was raised by George & Suzanne McWhorter. She was left with them when William, Bingham and Mary Ann moved back to Athens Co., OH.
William was a corporal in Co. I, 7th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry from muster in 9/12/1862 to muster out 7/2/1865 during the Civil War.
Hope this information helps.
