To my recollection, we have never met, or exchanged information. I was NOT aware that you had a FTM site nor what it says and unless you used information from my "posts" on this site, you couldn't have used anything that might be attributed to any research that I have completed. Those earlier "posts" were for others to use and to spark additional research and questions without authorship. If you count the "posts" on this Gable site for all of 2008, you will see that this is the twelfth (12th) for the entire year of 2008, of which seven have been either yours or mine. No one has even acknowledged the post on the will of John Gable, immigrant. Judge Price mentioned the Gables around Savannah, but she did NOT report on that Colonial will in her work/findings. Yet, she researched some immigrants from Pennsylvania and connected the South Carolina John Gable to one of them. I'm totally cognizant that she did her research before computers and thousands of genealogy books and court records were published. She did a very good job for that period of time. However, research that I have conducted questions some of her findings. Besides the Pennsylvania Gabells/Gobels/etc., Thomas Gabell was imported into Virginia in 1703 and John Goball resided among Virginia families in the late 1740's that the early South Carolina Gables married into later in the 1800's. Furthermore, NO ONE has accounted for the Gabels/Gables/Gobels/ in Orange County, North Carolina, in the 1760's near the Wachovia settlement. My point is that John Gable who died in Colonial Georgia couldn't have been in my ancestral tree. Furthermore, only a very few Southern Gables descended from John Gable who immigrated to South Carolina and died in Georgia. Hence, I have broken ranks with Judge Price. Respectfully, I disagree based on research personally conducted to date. And, with absolutely no knowledge of what you have posted, I have NOT attacked your information or you personally. I DID attack the idea of propagating unproven lineages in general and anyone who just copies work without doing ANY PERSONAL VERIFICATION ! In your case, I was "preaching to the choir".
