WILLIAM & BARNABAS GABLE - War of 1812
Posted by: Patterson (ID *****0554) Date: September 12, 2008 at 08:25:38

Records of Tennessee show that WILLIAM and BARNABAS participated in the WAR of 1812, William as a "Trumpeter" in the regiments of Col. John Alcorn and Col. John Coffee, Volunteer Cavalry officers, and Barnabas as a private under Col. John Coffee, but in Capt. Daniel Ross's Mounted Gunmen.

Additional tid-bits of information are available about both of those men in Tennessee records and Barnabas has been extensively researched by others on this forum. I was wondering, has anyone researched WILLIAM ? I beleive he had two sons, Israel and Joseph.
