Thx for the info.

I'd like to explore the primary source data on the line of Gabberts that you have documented.

Thomas Jefferson Gabbert was my wife's ggrandfather. My father-in-law (Jeff Ray Laird)noted upon one occasion that my wife's lineage would qualify her for memberhip in the DAR.

The line from Thomas J Gabbert certainly seems to substantiate that. I wonder if the Gabberts were associates of the Boones or Crockets exploring the frontier. The time-frame seems to be about right as well as the locales.

My wife has never been particularly interested in applying for DAR membership, but I have been doing research on her side of the family. It may be possible that some of the other members of the family may have some desire to pursue membership in the DAR.

The potential association of the family with the early history and exploration of the frontier will certainly have much interest, even if no one applies for DAR membership.

Please contact me at the e-mail address that is listed at my postings hyperlink.

Thx again...

Dick Brown
