I have very limited data on the descendants of John Robert Land and Mary Sumner. That limited data is primiarily from the family files of Roy C. Land, Jr.
Mary Sumner Land was b in 1789 in Burke County, Georgia, dau of Joseph Chestnutt Sumner, SR. (R.S.) and his wife Nancy Chestnutt. She died in Worth County, Ga. March 8, 1876 and is buried in the Land Family Cemetery a few miles outside Sumner, Georgia (on the old Karl Land farm) Mary Sumner was also married to Nathan Seaborn Land and Quinton Flanders. As far as I know, no children by either of those two. 7 children by John Robert Land. Those children, as supplied by Roy C. Land, Jr. were:
1. Green W. Land, b 1810, d aft 1882 prob in Miss. m 1-24-1833 Nancy Taylor.
2. Henry Land, b 1814
3. Tempy Land, b 1818
4. Sarah Land, b 1820, d 1885 in Colquitt Co., Ga. m 5-14-1836 in Irwin Co., Ga. Jasper Marion Luke
5. Jane Land, b 1822, m Richard Young
6. Jincy Land b abt 1823, m Seaborn Taylor
7. Susanah Land, b 1806, m Leonard Stone

I'd appreciate anything you can add to this family! Thanks.
