Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Clint,
You would need to send off for Civil War Military Records and Andrew's Confederate pension file to learn more. You might try contacting the Georgia Department of Archives and History who have in their holdings, microfilm copies of the original pension records, militia rolls, salt lists, and veterans censuses, just to name a few. The address i have for the Archives is;
Georgia Department of Archives and History
330 Capitol Avenue, S.E.
Atlanta , Georgia 30334
