I hope you are able to find a male descendant for the DNA testing. I can give you details of this Jackson family that was given to me by Pamela Verbal and Terry C. Jackson. First of all they only have a paper trail as far back as Joseph Absolem Jackson Jr. (1790) who it is believed married Sarah Etheridge. His father was suppose to have been Joseph Absolem Jackson Sr. , spouse unknown. In Wilkinson Co. he was usually referred to as Joseph Jackson but may have been called Absolem Jackson occasionally. Joseph A. Jackson Sr.(b. 1772) died intestate in 1825 and these are the ones who administered on his estate: Andrew, Margaret (called Peggy)and Jesse Jackson. These three individuals may be his children and are probably the only 3 proven children of Joseph A. Jackson Sr. We are assuming that Joseph A. Jackson Jr. is also his son. There was a Benjamin Jackson (1792) in Wilkinson Co. who is also a possible son and then your Thomas Jackson b. 1795 is also a possibility. So here are the possible children of Joseph Absolem Jackson Sr. 1. Benjamin Jackson - b. 1792 2. Joseph Absolem Jackson Jr. - b. 1790; m. Sarah Etheridge 3. Andrew Jackson 4. Margaret Jackson (Peggy) 5. Jesse Jackson 6. Thomas Jackson ? - b. 1795 In the early 1900's a genealogist wrote in a newspaper that Joseph Absolem Jackson Sr. was one of 4 sons born to Benjamin Carter Jackson and his wife Mary Jackson, daughter of Joseph Frederick Jackson. And Benjamin C. Jackson was supposedly the son of Moses Jackson and Mary Frederick. What the genealogist wrote in the newspaper may not be accurate because Terry and Pamela haven't been able to verify it with any facts. This is why Terry tried the DNA testing.
