Pat. Sarah Mathews could be the widow of William Mathews,
RS, son James mathews married Elizabeth Vaughn, the dau. of
Jesse Vaughn,RS. Jesse and William was good friends and was in Burke, Richmond and Wilkinson Ct. Ga. by 1820 census, page 358. Jessey Vaughn is listed as Vawn. The page is not real clear. Hope this helps....Bob

My families are Vaughn, Lowe, Willett, Dobbs, yates.
