Wilkinson Co. Will Book (1817 1860)

JOHN TALIAFERRO, 4/1817:1818
My wife and myself drew a contact before marriage. I leave her the land from the cut off next to
a lane next to the house, with use of spring and all houses and cleared lands, and also Jack and
Avy and family, etc. Then divided as follows (after wife's death): Son, Richard's three daughters,
Gene, Mary and Judy; my daughter, Rose, my daughter, Elizabeth, my daughter, Anne, my sons,
Charles and Bridgeman. Remainder of my children: Judith, Mary, Bethleland, Lucy (wife of
John L. Jones). I give them land as follows: Lucy to have land from the cut off down each branch
to the lines, thence to lines next to Joe Jones, then from cut off along land next to their house to
the bring with the care of my old winch, Polly, and her children. To: Friend, General John Scott,
John L. Jones (son in law), and Elijah Lingo.

JOHN MANDERSON, 1/6/1818:

No. 278, in 18th District, first section of Cherokee Co. Also, one negro, Rose, woman with all
property belonging to said estate of Elijah Vincent not heretofore mentioned for the doing
executing and perfect finishing whereof, I give to my Exrs to sell, convey, etc. Exrs to pay each
undivided heir his or their equal part when they attain the age of 21 years.

WILLIAM SMITH 6/1/1835:
