My gggrandfather, Nathan Childre, was born in Crawford Cuonty, GA in 1795. He married Martha Wells in Wilkinson County, GA August 23, 1818.

I'm looking for any information about this couple. Their son William, born May 30, 1819 in Wilkinson County is my maternal gg-grandfather. William Childre married Mary Ann Paulk, born April 18, 1817, in Wilkinson County. Their daughter Missouri Ann Samantha Childre is my great-grandmother.

I would love any information about these families. We have had some family stories that the Childre family had Creek Indian. No proof of this anywhere.

William and Mary Ann Childre moved to Covington County, AL then on to Grimes County, TX.
