Fort Perry ( James Perry ) and Fort Chancey are two Military Forts in Tattnall County on the Altamaha River not sure when built or location used also during the War of 1812 by State Militia listed at Fort Chancey in 1814 for reference see State Militia records or Folks Huxford material or his newspaper article Wiregrass Georgia in the Clinch County News Aug.11 1950 Homerville GA. newspaper.Maybe a local Historian can locate them and have a Historical marker placed at both forts.
