Hi, I have a few books from Washington County. In looking through "Cotton to Kaolin...A History of Wash. Co..." on page 480 there is an interesting biography. Although the name is listed as Robson, I wondered if perhaps this was really your interest.

"James Robson was born in NC. in 1800. His wife, Martha, was born in NC in 1803. From estate papers, we believe that Martha was the daughter of Moses Robison because Moses Robison's will left part of his estate to James in 1852, but James was not listed as a son...

...The James Robson homeplace on Buffalo Creek contained 1800 acres. James died in 1869, survived by his wife Martha...

...Jesse A. Robson was the fourth son of James and Martha Robson. He was born abt. 1845 and during the Civil War served as sergeant of Co. B, 12th GA Artillery..."

From the Tombstone Inscription book: Jesse and his wife Georgia Alice are buried in the Brown Wood, Sandersville City Cemetery on West Church St. in Sandersville. Also, their son Clarence D. is buried there.

Hope this is helpful.
BK
