I am looking for an ancestor that may have been in this county in the late 1700's or early 1800's. William, Silas or possibly Stephen Godwin. He may have married a woman named Kittie Catherine Holmes. Is anyone else researching this surname in this county? The family eventually settled in Berrien, Lowndes area. Thanks.
