Martin Nettles 1800-1849 from Clinch Co. (his father William Nettles S.C. to Liberty Co, Ga.) married second wife Cassie Newbern 1812-1880 (daughter of Thomas Newbern Appling Co.)had 8 children by marriage:

Elizabeth 1836 m. John c. Kirkland (1st wife)
Martha 1837 m. Warren Douglas
Thomas 1839 m. Frances Bennett, dau. of William Bennett
James 1841 m. Rebecca Glover, dau. of John D. T. Glover
Mary Ann 1845 m. Jordan Boyt of Pierce Co.
Berrien 1847 m. Frances dau. of Joseph Thomas and widow of
Julia Ann 1849 m. Hampton Bennett (son of William and Martha Harris Bennett). Died Mar. 31, 1910
Julia Ann remarried after Hampton died in 1853 to Charles A. Griffis by whom she had 2 sons, John G. and W.D. Griffis.

Hampton and Julia Ann were buried in the Boatright Cemetery at Shiloh Congregational Methodist Church south of Homerville, on lot of land 508, 7th district.
