J. Wilbert O'Berry-Ware & Atkinson Counties-1900-1950

I am looking for J.W. O'Berry (called Wilbert O'Berry) who lived in Atkinson County GA in 1931 and served as a Special Deputy Sheriff to Atkinson Sheriff Lewis White. Wilbert's family lived in Waycross GA. Wilbert was injured when moonshiners booby trapped a moonshine still in the Roundabout Swamp and his eyes were severly burned when the dynamite was exploded.

I am researching information for a book on all the deputies which were at the still when it exploded. One of the deputies, Ashbury Palmer was killed in the explosion.

Any information would be appreciated.
