My grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Bishop (1858 - 1933} was married to Nancy Elizabeth Coker (1857 - 1921). She was daughter of Valentine Martin (Marlin) Coker (1832 - 1872).
Valentine was son of Hiram Coker. Thomas Jefferson Bishop's sister, Sarah Francis "Sally" Bishop was married to William Franklin Coker, son of Valentine Martin Coker. My father was Marlin Grady Bishop, which makes me believe Valentine's middle name was Marlin.
