Havent had as much time to devote to this as I would like. I have that one of Bedford's wives was Phoebe Thrasher. I think that maybe she was the second wife but not sure. I believe that Bedford had 4 children by the second wife, and one child was a daughter named Julia who married a Picklesimon..yes, thats the name. The name of Bedford's first wife escapes me at the moment, and I believe that she is my James L's mother. Im descended from James Lafayette, son of Bedford, thru HIS son, James A. Robertson. James A's daughter Loretta was my paternal grandmother. I have found that many of these names repeat themselves thru the generations, sometimes making it confusing to figure out who is who. My grandma Loretta had a brother also named James Robertson(Jim), and another brother named John(Johnny). She had uncles named George, John, Forrest, and Bedford.
James Lafayette Robertson came here to Arkansas and settled in the small town of Knoxville. Several of my Robertson ancestors are buried in the Knoxville cemetery, some are also buried in surrounding communities; Im currently in the process of searching out those graves. I have been lucky to find some of their burial spots in other states via findagrave.com, if my memory serves me right, Beford can be found there and maybe his father James too, its been awhile since I checked on that info so dont quote me on it. I know that some of the Robertsons settled in Alabama, so you might want to check there for info too as well as in Georgia.
