Well, here are some vague details as I know them. The Coker (or Corker) family and Braswells are together, although I'm not too familiar with this connection and I cannot say if there is a marriage or not, back in the late 1600s OR early to mid 1700s in either NC or VA. Sorry to be so vague, I'm just not that familiar with that Corker (Coker) part in Braswell history and I'm just now getting interested with this COKER surname find, although it may at the later date in GA just be a coincidence. It's funny that you say Valentine MARTIN Coker, because Valentine's second eldest son William W Braswell married a Hepzibeth MARTIN in Madison Co GA 1823. Valentine Braswell first lived in MAdison Co GA found there 1816 and then he moved to Walton Co GA when it was formed around 1822. Surnames names of Valentine's son-daughters-inlaw: Martin Porterfield New Moore Forrester (two siblings married into that surname) Olver Moon and the last two children's wives names are unknown Valentine Braswell was born around 1774 in either SC or NC and he's in question to his whereabouts until for sure in Madison Co GA 1816 and he's on the 1820 census there under Vunlenteer Brazwell, I think that's how it's spelled. Anyway, what are the surnames that your Coker family married into in GA? Meanwhile I will check on that Coker(Corker) connection between Braswells earlier in time and place.
