Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
As a clarification of my previous post, William George Riley (born approx 1790) appears to have migrated from NC > Rome, Floyd, GA in approximately 1850. The 1870 US Census has wife Kizzie (w/o William) living with children in Rome, GA. The 1880 US Census has wife Kizzie (w/o William) living with elder daughter Mary Jane Riley (m: William Hugh Richardson) in Dirt Seller, Chattooga, GA. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
William George Riley's son is William Riley (m: Sarah Saphronia Smith) who was born in Rome, Floyd Co, GA then ended up in Cedar Grove, Walker Co, GA. Tomorrow I am going to explore the Old Antioch and Cedar Grove Cemeteries for their graves.
