Thank you for posting that birth record!! I am researching this line and would love to have a copy of the scanned page. My husband is a descendant of John Paul Kesterson Holloway and his sister, Phoebe Holloway Smith, was the mother of Elizabeth Jane Smith Hobbs. We are trying to find female living descendants of this line who might be willing to do a DNA test. I am trying to find descendants of any of this line, or of the Rev. Dauswell Rogers line (his youngest daughters moved to Texas, but not sure if youngest son, Lindsey moved or stayed in Georgia), or of the old Russel Martin line (I have info from Walker Co., GA Heritage book already on Rogers and Martins and Abraham Smith family). Phoebe's daughter, Susan L. G. Smith married a Josiah Whitt Hise, and if there are any descendants of this couple, I'd like to be in contact with them also. Phoebe had other daughters as well: A Sara Sophronia who married a William Riley, and if there are any descendants of this family around, I'd like to hear from you as well. Phoebe Holloway Smith had a sister named Elizabeth Holloway Disharoon, and if anyone knows descendants of her daughter Elizabeth J. Disharoon, I'd like to hear from you also. Phoebe had two sons also, Charles A.S. Smith (wife Susan Hatfield) and Abraham M. Smith (wife Amie Dovie Stout) and I'd like to hear from descendants of this family as well.

If anyone has access to the obituaries mentioned in the Walker Co., Heritage book, please let me know. They were apparently in the Walker County Messenger between 1894 and 1917 (for details see the Heritage book)
