I am researching this unit that my great-great grandfather fought in during the Civil War. His name was Samuel D. McClure of Walker County, Georgia. His father was Samuel Dupru McClure and his mother was Elizabeth Ann "Betsey" McWhorter McClure. Most of the family participated in the war and the suffering was terrible. I know there are a lot of Walker County residents who fought in this unit and I would love to find a unit photograph or photographs of members of the regiment. I want any information on the unit that you can provide. I am trying to gather all the information I can for an article about it.
