noticed your listing indicating your Zachary Thomas White ent to Oklahoma from Georgia

Do you know who the parents, siblings, etc of your Zachary Thomas White are?

My 2nd great was William White and all I know about him is one of his children was James E. White (1849 GA-1928 Washita Co, OK) m/Margaret Thatcher Copeland in Williamson County, Texas - her family came from Overton Co, TN

My James E. and Margaret left Williamson Co, Tx in 1890s heading for Oklahoma with their 5 boys (Wm Newton, James Andrew, Rufus Arthur, Wilford Carol, Ollie Ondus) plus other family (White, Copeland, Dedman---) (I've got lots of information from James E down)

When James E. and Margaret got to North Texas Margaret got sick and died. The family ended up staying for 4 years. Then in late 1890s William and his 5 boys went on to Washita County, Oklahoma with other family members (White, Copeland, Dedman--) where they had a wheat farm until 1930's when they were driven out by the dust bowl going to Floyd, New Mexico. Later the family returned to Washita County, OK and this is where James E White died in 1928 (believe the Burns Flat / Cordell / --- area)

I had great uncles who used to go to Arkansas, California, etc to visit relatives quite often - they were old bachelors before they married and traveled around a lot. I could be wrong about this but think I've heard that they'd go to Arkansas in strawberry season to help pick but could be wrong about that. Also had a great uncle Rufus<> Arthur White who moved to Arkansas and the family lost track of him.

Would you be willing to share information, GedComs, genealogy reports, family trees, etc

Jackie Mae (White) Bishop
