Adam Davis married Mary Worthy abt. 1820. Don't know if they were in Georgia at that time yet.
Adam came to Walker co. abt. 1842 after living in Franklin and Cobb Counties. This info is from Walker co. History book at Crown Garden & Archive.
He lived east of Villanow in area called the "Furnace". Had 16 kids 3 of sons in Civil War. All in Co. H, 23rd regiment. Ga Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tenn.

Children: Elizabeth b. 12-9-1823, Sarah Jane b. 4-3-1825, Mary Ann b. 12-3-1826, Amanda b. 6-7-1828, Nancy b.11-1-1829
William b. 1-13-1831, Thomas b. 5-12-1833, Mahaley b. 4-6-1835, Levi b. 10-18-1836 died young, Adam Robert b. 4-14-1838, Rebecca b. 6-30-1839, Harrison H. b. 11-14-1840, Martha b. 2-26-1842, Telitha Cuma b. 12-20-1843, Francyne b. 6-9-1845, John b. 1-12-1847
BAby b. 1849 d. 1849. There's a total of 17 with the baby.
Mary d. abt 1875 and Adam d. Oct 1898. Trying to find where they both died. I assume that Mary died in Walker because Adam was still living there in 1880 with his daughter Telitha.
What I have says that Mary was born in S.C. also. I was also told that Adam was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
