Civil War in Union County

My great-grandfather, Ansil B. Walker served in Ledford's Regiment, according to a few pages I found of his pension file. Where and when he joined I do not know. It only states he was in "Jones Co. F, Ledford's Regiment". Is anyone familiar with this unit. I can find no record of a roster for this unit. The only reference I have found is on one of the Union County sites, Camp Payne or something like that.

Buried in Old Union Baptist Church is Joseph A. Hughes. His headstone reads "Ledford's Regiment". I know that him, Zach Plott, F. M. Morrison and my Ansil were all in that unit. (According to pension record)

My Ansil Walker had two brothers that I have not been able to locate after the 1860 census. They were George and John Walker. Both were a few years older than Ansil and probably served in the same unit as him.

I have exhausted all of my resources for finding men in this company. Is there anyone out there that knows where, when and who formed this unit?

Thank you.
