Shirley, this was what was on the 1860 census for your folks...please note the spelling of the last name on this census:

1860 Census, Union County, Georgia
Choestoe Post Office

The 1860 Federal Census of Union County was enumerated by John Butt
and Silas Ledford.

The enumeration was begun June 18, 1860 and was completed on
July 30, 1860.
